There are a couple of changes that have been made to the weekly racing program. The Ona Speedway weekly racing series will be in full force throughout the spring and summer months. 9 divisions of racing will compete over the weekend, all culminating with the Mountaineer 100 Modified race featuring a 100 lap feature for the money and prestige of being a Mountaineer 100 champion. This year’s prestigious “Mountaineer 100” will once again be a 2 day format and is set for Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd. The series will lock in 12 drivers the first race at Anderson, then eliminate 2 drivers every race until the finale at Ona where 6 drivers will race for a championship! The “Freedom Used Autos Fly By 40” will also be the championship race of the VORES Short Track Challenge, a 5 race mini-series at tracks that the VORES Series competes on that is under a half mile. This will be the largest compact race in Ona Speedway history and will be one of the higher paying races on the VORES schedule.
